■　授業形態

　月曜日２限の「理論言語学特論 I」と木曜日２限の「理論言語学研究 I」は、本来、独立の科目ですが、試験的に今年度は、この２つの時間をドッキングさせて、１つの授業を行います。つまり、毎週２回クラスのある授業だと思ってください。あっという間に次の授業が来てしまうので予習や復習が大変ですが、その分、忘れる心配がなく、学習効率が期待できるのではないかと考えています。（ちなみに、週２回のクラスというのは、アメリカの大学院ではよく見られる形式の１つです。）

■　中心となるトピック：再構築現象 (reconstruction effects)

■　授業目的

　この授業では、いわゆる再構築現象(reconstruction effects)について、まず、生成文法の中の古典的な基本文献を押さえた上で、最近の研究から重要な論文を取り上げ議論していきたい。

　それぞれの論文でどのような現象が指摘され、どのような分析がなされているか、正確に理解することがまず第一の目標である。必ずしもすべての情報を暗記する必要はないが、ある程度は知識として押さえておくことも重要である。

　その上で、各論文の主張を（批判的に）吟味していき、文法理論に対してどのような貢献をしたのか考察していく。そのような作業を通じて、今後の研究に何が求められているのかということを明らかにしていきたい。

　授業では、自分の理解を口頭発表したり、ハンドアウトとしてまとめる技術の向上にも力点を置いていく。

■　授業の進め方について
  • 最初の授業時に、各論文の担当者（１人ずつ）を決定する。
  • 原則的に、２回の授業で１本の論文を終える。
  • １回目の授業では、私がその論文の主要なポイントや時代的な背景を説明する。ハンドアウトは配布しない。適宜、担当者に質問をすることもありうる。
  • ２回目の授業では、担当者がハンドアウトを作成し、その論文の重要な点を口頭発表する。
  • ぜひ記憶しておくべき点については、適宜、復習の小テストを行う予定。
  • 取り上げる予定の論文は、下の表に示してある通り。
■　単位の認定について
  • 学期末レポートや学期末試験は課さない。
  • 単位は、(i) 担当のときの発表、(ii) 小テスト、(iii) 授業への参加度に基づいて判定する。
