EPSA [31]-3 (=[31]-10)

This is discussed in Chapter 6. It is a Sub-Experiment for the Main-Experiments EPSA [31]-4 (= [31]-11) and EPSA [31]-5 (= [31]-12). More specifically, it is intended to identify which informants among those who participated in EPSA [31]-4 (= [31]-11) and EPSA [31]-5 (= [31]-12) can accept sentences in which a pronoun precedes its "antecedent." If they cannot, their No Answer on the *Examples in the Main-Experiments cannot be considered significant with regard to the validity of the Main Hypotheses in the Main-Experiments.

Results

[31]-3 Summary

The following results show the absence of effects of informant classification in the case of Binding Condition C/D, in sharp contrast to what is observed in the case of [31]-4 (=[31]-11).

[31]-1 Summary

[31]-1 Lexical-group-based

Informant list for [31]-10:
based on: [31]-8, every; &
based on: [31]-8, no; &
based on: [31]-1, every; &
based on: [31]-1, no

The informant classification is based on [31]-1 as well as [31]-8 only considering Lexical groups 1 and 2 (BVA(every boy, his) and BVA(no boy, his)).

[31]-10 Schema-group-based, based on the above informant list

Informant list for [31]-10:
based on: [31]-8, every; &
based on: [31]-8, no; &
based on: [31]-1, every; &
based on: [31]-1, no; &
based on: [31]-7

The informant classification is based on [31]-1 as well as [31]-8 only considering Lexical groups 1 and 2 (BVA(every boy, his) and BVA(no boy, his)), and also based on [31]-7.

[31]-10 Schema-group-based, based on the above informant list

Informant list for [31]-10:
based on: [31]-8, every; &
based on: [31]-8, no; &
based on: [31]-1, every; &
based on: [31]-1, no; &
based on: [31]-11, SCH2

The informant classification is based on [31]-1 as well as [31]-8 only considering Lexical groups 1 and 2 (BVA(every boy, his) and BVA(no boy, his)), and also based on [31]-11, only considering Schema group 2.

[31]-10 Schema-group-based, based on the above informant list

Informant list for [31]-10:
based on: [31]-8, every; &
based on: [31]-8, no; &
based on: [31]-1, every; &
based on: [31]-1, no; &
based on: [31]-11, SCH2; &
based on: [31]-4, SCH2

The informant classification is based on [31]-1 as well as [31]-8 only considering Lexical groups 1 and 2 (BVA(every boy, his) and BVA(no boy, his)), and also based on [31]-11 and [31]-4, only considering Schema group 2 of [31]-11 and [31]-4.
